Feel Well Where You Dwell + Dwelling Launch Week Giveaways!

Feel Well Where You Dwell + Dwelling Launch Week Giveaways!

A home should be sacred space. It’s a place where we should feel our best, a safe shelter in the world where we can learn to better care for ourselves and the people inside.

We should be able to turn the key and feel warmly welcomed inside. To create a nurturing space, we must become more mindful of the atmosphere that inspires us to feel our best.

Feel Well Where You Dwell + Dwelling Launch Week Giveaways!

We are the gatekeepers in our own home. In many ways, we get to decide what crosses our threshold.

This really is a powerful responsibility and a tremendous gift we can give to ourselves and the people we love.

Caring deeply for our dwellings, both home and body, matters deeply.

We can’t control everything that comes into our home or life, of course, but I believe there is always something we can do to feel a little better. That’s what is all about. The simple things we can do.

Pssst…be sure to enter the HUGE giveaway at the bottom of this post! One lucky winner will win an incredible prize pack!

Feel Well Where You Dwell + Dwelling Launch Week Giveaways!

A home is more than just a structure to hold belongings or shelter us from the elements. It’s where our very life is lived. It’s a place for enriching conversations and celebrations. It’s a setting where memories are made, a place to create moments we want to hold sacred.

A home becomes the atmosphere where we raise a family and love those with whom we share life. Intentionally designing a home that nurtures and inspires the life we want to live is crucial to our well-being.

Larysa Michaels, Dwelling (2019)

The choices we make for ourselves and for our home will not only impact our health and how we feel in profound ways, but they can change the world around us.

Tuesday my brand new book, , will arrive in homes around the country (and maybe even the world!). Will it arrive in yours? I hope so!

I’ll admit, book launches make me nervous. It’s a vulnerable feeling to open your door (and heart) to let so many people in.

Feel Well Where You Dwell + Dwelling Launch Week Giveaways!

Learning to take better care of our own dwellings (both home + body) is such a personal journey. Yours won’t look or feel exactly like mine, so I don’t pretend that I have all of the answers for you. I know I don’t.

But I hope as you read this book (as fellow HomeBodies!), you’ll agree there are things we can do and improvements we can make. And if we start sharing our stories with friends and encouraging others to share theirs, I think we will all feel better.

This is what I hope for most of all.

Feel Well Where You Dwell + Dwelling Launch Week Giveaways!

As travels to homes this week and in the months to come, I hope it will be used to open more doors, start more conversations and build more connections so we can all learn and grow from each other.

Would you share your stories with me and fellow HomeBodies? I’d love to connect with you and hear how this book impacts your life.

If you find the messages in Dwelling worthy of sharing with friends, or think others would benefit from this book, I’d love for you to share it online or in person and leave a review on Amazon, too!

There are quotes and book images you are welcome to use or pin here. Use #dwellingbook and #feelwellwhereyoudwell and tag me when you share on Instagram so I can find your posts.

And please feel free to message me any time! I love to connect with you.

As we cross paths and link arms on this journey, I just know we’ll become good friends!

If you haven’t ordered Dwelling yet, you can get your copy .

Larysa, your blog is truly a place I can go to for an Inspirational Calmness and a Serenity and not just for pretty pictures. It helps me to ponder the choices I make in creating a home for my loved ones.

  5. This is lovely! I am creating more peace and wellness in my home by continuing to unpack and organize. We moved three months ago and we’ve been amazed at how much time it’s takej us to get settled. But the more we do, the more we are glad to have done. We finished setting up one room Sat night and then were able to host there Sunday afternoon which makes it all worth it! 😊

  7. Diane McKeon says

I am going to share this with our son and daughter in law and our two young grandchildren who are preparing to move into a “new” to them home soon. They are eager to decorate and furnish their home and your sentiments about one’s “dwelling” are beautiful words to contemplate as they build their lives together. Thank you!

  8. Dawn Manos says

What a wonderful giveaway. Our home is our sanctuary and I want it to stay that way. It’s not yet looking like we want it to, but to us it’s more about the “welcome home” than the stuff in it. We are slowly working on the dressing. Can’t wait to get my hands on this book.

    • Jessica Orlando says

What a dreamy giveaway!! My goal is to have my children feel the same comfort I felt when walking into my childhood home. I hope they always feel safe and loved.

  9. We are empty nesters. I want our home to be place where our children want to come to share love and life. Though it’s a different home than they grew up in, it’s where we hold on to memories and hope to create new ones.

  10. Francesca gunn says

I still have some of my beautiful things in boxes from when I moved several( okay, four) years ago. I was saving them for when I had the “perfect space”. There is no such thing and I should enjoy them now.

  11. Mary Ellen Eckels says

Another beautiful book from you. I can’t wait. Tracking says I’ll have mine tomorrow. And the Dwell Well journal is already by my favorite chair. I love how your books and blog posts inspire me to love the home I have, cherish those who share it with me, and always keep peace and love at the forefront.

  12. I try to make it as easy as possible to have peace in our home. For me, thats making sure the house is at least semi clean, having candles and air diffusors around the house and having some kind of plan for supper so we can all eat together.

  13. Pam Rychener says

Love reading your blog posts. I am a widow and live alone now. However, I have many houseguests throughout the year where my home becomes crazy and loud!!! I love it. I have always wanted my home to be a safe place for all who enter.

  14. If I could get my preteen to keep his room there would be MORE peace in our home. :)
I am working towards more peace, myself, by intentionally tackling a few projects or piles each week. Looking forward to receiving the book!

  16. Thank you for the giveaway! I’m more at peace with fewer things. Trying to continually pair back.

  17. Sydney85 says

Congrats on the book. At a New Year’s Eve party this year everyone was asked about their resolutions for the coming year and my resolution was to enjoy just one thing each day and that would make me happy. This has worked for me. I have found I have more than one thing each day that makes me happy and that result makes me feel truly blessed with my life. Focusing on this has made my physical and mental health improve and my husband has noticed that I seem happier. What a win situation for all!

  18. Elizabeth Auch says

I am experimenting this year with more non-toxic choices I bring into our home – foods, cleaning items, essential oils, etc. I must remind myself this is not an overnight change but a journey for me. Thank you for the inspiration!

  21. Your book looks beautiful! A peaceful home is the perfect retreat!

  32. Right now my house is clean and orderly and I feel on top of the world, even if I have a lot going on, I feel like I can handle it because my home base is in order. Take that away, and everything feels like it is falling apart, even if there is not as much on my plate. Clean orderly house-happy mood! Messy, cluttered house-one anxious and crabby mama! Thanks for the giveaway-it looks lovely. Congratulations on your new book!

  203. Congrats! I think I’m still working on your first book’s ‘lesson’ loving the home we are in-but I know I would love it more (and be at peace) more with less mess! (Toys toys everywhere)… .:)

  204. I look forward to learning new ideas for making my home connected to nature and to the people who “dwell” here. Thank you.

  205. Several years ago I had a discussion with our then church’s Bible study leader about home. As I was explaining (thinking that I had to apologize and give reason for my “belief”) why I give so much priority to creating a lovely and welcoming home, she suddenly affirmed my thoughts by telling me that our homes are a sanctuary for our families and that as we carefully make them just that we are in essence doing what we’ve been called to do as home-makers. That conversation has freed me and legitimized my home nesting habits and helped me to create a peaceful home.

Your book just came in the mail today… I’m going to curl up in bed early tonight to start savoring it. I know it’s going to be GOOD! Thanks sweet friend! And congrats!

  206. trisha dowling says

When my youngest graduates in May he will likely be heading off into full-time employment, possibly many states away. As my husband and I start a new season of empty nesting, we have 34 years of family clutter to clear out — with the goal being to intentionally create a new home environment that matches up better to this new season in our lives. 326. Hey Larysa! I am 68 (today, in fact! ❤️) and have 6 grown children and three ‘growing grandchildren.
My husband passed away in 2017 and my house became extremely quiet. I am trying to get myself ‘back on track’ (so to speak) and I want my home to feel warm and welcoming. You have many great ideas and your homes have all been very inspiring. LOVE YOUR BLOG! One of my very favorite books is your ‘Onerror’!

  327. I tried to switch from chemical cleaners to more natural ones, including laundry. With regards to more peace, I like to not overdo it. There’s always something that needs to be done, but I also need to sit down with a tea and snuggle with my cat :)

  328. Elaine Mast says

I have eliminated most commercial cleaners and make my own with essential oils. I use diffusers instead of burning candles. I have always been “less is more” when it comes to decorating. The move towards more minimalism is so good, less clutter, less to clean, more peace.

We are changing over all of our cleaners and simplifying our belongings, it’s felt so good!

  355. I purchased my copy of Dwelling last week and after a quick read-through, am now going back through it slowly with intention. My favorite tips so far are to take care of an easy fix that has been bugging you (why didn’t I do this sooner!) and pay attention to how plants and scents affect mood. I have been using my often neglected essential oil diffuser a lot this past week, and the difference is noticeable!

    • I’m so glad you’re enjoying the book! Thank you for letting me know some of the parts that are speaking to you and helping to change your home or perspective already, that means a lot to me!! xoxo

You have redone many homes through your blog. How do you keep a steady mind as you are doing this. I am really about to lose it.

    Thanks,
